Ampol Wants To Sell Nicotine E-Cigs At Their Stores
The company that owns Caltex, Ampol, wants the Australian Government to allow it to sell nicotine e-cigs and other vape products at their stores. The company has more than 1,900 stores in Australia between its Caltex and Ampol brands. If allowed to sell e-cigs at their stores, smokers and vapers would have improved access to vaping products.
The company sent a submission in to the Senate committee that is examining vaping, urging the government to allow them to sell vaping products that contain nicotine at their convenience stores. Currently, Australians who are of legal smoking age can buy cigarettes at their stores, but nicotine e-cigarette sales are still prohibited.
